Central TET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications:

To become a Primary Teacher (Class 1st to 5th) – Paper 1

• Class 12th with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
• Class 12th with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 norms OR
• Class 12th with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of four year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
• Class 12th with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
• UG passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education

To become an Elementary Teacher (Class 6th to 8th) – Paper 2

• Bachelor’s Degree and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education Or
• Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) Or
• Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) as per NCTE norms OR
• Class 12th with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of four year Bachelor in Elementary Education Or
• Class 12th with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of four year B.A.Ed or B.SC.Ed. Or
